Exterior window cleaning, start to finish
One service, done properly: every window on the outside of your house, including the frames, the sills, and the panes you'd need a ladder to reach.
Exterior glass
Each pane is scrubbed and then rinsed with purified water. Because the water has had its minerals stripped out, it dries off the glass without leaving the spots and streaks you get from a garden hose.
- Every exterior pane on the house, not a selected few
- Scrubbed first, so dirt comes off instead of moving around
- Purified-water rinse, left to dry spot-free
- Patio doors and sliders included
Frames, sills and tracks
Clean glass in a dirty frame still looks like a dirty window. The grime line along the bottom of the sash, the cobwebs in the top corners and the grit packed into the track all get cleaned out as part of the job.
- Sills and sashes wiped down, not just rinsed
- Tracks cleared of built-up grit and debris
- Cobwebs and nests removed from corners and trim
- Glass cleaned last, so nothing drips back onto it
The windows you can't reach
Second story, over the stairwell, above the deck roof, the awkward one on the gable end. These are the windows that quietly never get cleaned, and they're the reason most people call in the first place.
- Water-fed pole reaches upper floors from the ground
- No ladders leaned against your siding or gutters
- Nobody walking across your roofline
- Landscaping and flower beds left alone
Spots, film and seasonal buildup
Sprinkler overspray, hard-water spotting and the grey film that settles over a Minnesota summer all sit on top of the glass. Cleaned off regularly they come off easily — left alone season after season, mineral deposits start to bond to the surface.
- Sprinkler and hard-water spotting treated
- Pollen, dust and road film washed off
- Best handled before it has years to build up
- We'll tell you straight if glass is already etched
What changes the price
Quotes are free and we can usually price a home without visiting it. These are the things that move the number.
How many windows
A rough count is fine. Panes, patio doors and transoms all count toward the total.
How many stories
Upper-floor windows take longer to set up for than ground-floor ones.
Access
Decks, steep grade, dense landscaping or anything that makes a window awkward to stand in front of.
Condition
Glass that hasn't been cleaned in several years takes more work than glass on a yearly schedule.
Common questions
Do you clean the inside of the windows too?
VICI cleans the exterior of your windows — glass, frames, sills and tracks. Interior cleaning isn't part of the standard service.
How long does a house take?
Most homes are finished in a single visit. The exact time depends on the window count and how long it's been since the last cleaning.
Do I need to be home?
No. Everything happens outside, so as long as we have access to the house and an outdoor water spigot, you don't need to be there.
What about my landscaping?
The work is done from the ground with a pole rather than ladders set into your beds. Purified water is just water — nothing harmful goes onto your plants.
What happens if it rains?
Minnesota weather moves jobs around. If conditions won't let us leave your glass looking right, we'll reschedule you for the next workable day.
How often should windows be cleaned?
Once a year keeps most homes looking sharp. Houses near gravel roads, heavy tree cover or sprinklers that hit the glass usually want it more often.
